40 Days for Life Campaign
Starting September 23rd and running until November 1st, the 40 Days for Life Campaign will be participating in a 40-day, round the clock, peaceful Prayer Vigil across from the Planned Parenthood clinic at 301 South Henderson Street in Fort Worth. They are currently in need of additional prayer volunteers, and this provides a great opportunity for those who wish to directly help in the fight against abortion.

Here is some background information on the 40 Days for Life and the upcoming campaign in Fort Worth.
The 40 Days for Life is a 40-day, peaceful, prayer campaign focused on bringing about an end to abortion through prayer. The 40 Days for Life began in Bryan / College Station, TX in 2004, and in a short 5 years it has grown to over 200 cities with more than 215,000 volunteers participating. There are 3 key components of the campaign; prayer and fasting, community outreach, and the Prayer Vigil. We ask people to pray and to fast throughout the 40 days. The type of prayer and fasting is left up to the individual and can be done at home. It can as simple as one short prayer each day, or fasting from something important to you as a sacrifice. The community outreach part of the campaign is done in order to increase the awareness of abortion in our own community. We reach out to Churches of all faiths, as well as placing flyers out in public places. All of this is done in order to increase the awareness of the issue of abortion in our own community.
The largest and most important part of the campaign is the constant, 40-day, round-the-clock, peaceful, Prayer Vigil that we keep on the sidewalk across from the Planned Parenthood abortion clinic at 301 South Henderson Street in Fort Worth, TX. We keep a constant, peaceful, prayer presence there at the abortion clinic throughout the entire 40 days, both day and night. This is a powerful witness to our community as we stand in peaceful, public prayer. We are looking for additional prayer volunteers for the Prayer Vigil, and we need your help! The 40 Days for Life begins September 23rd and continues through November 1st. Throughout the bible, God has used 40 days or 40 years to transform His people, and with your help, we will pray that He transforms the hearts of His people here in our own community. Please join us in prayer as we pray for an end to abortion. The 40 Days for Life is an opportunity for everyone who is interested in being a part of the pro-life movement to be involved.
